Rottefella Introduces Xcelerator Pro Classic binding for 15/16

Rottefella Introduces Xcelerator Pro Classic binding for 15/16

For the coming 2015 / 2016 nordic ski season Norwegian brand Rottefella is introducing a brand new classic race binding in its Xcelerator line of products. This new addition comes in the form of the Xcelerator Pro Classic. The Xcelerator Pro Classic is a classic specific variant of the popular Xcelerator series bindings.

This new model features the QuickLock feature found on the skate specific Xcelerator binding but of course without the wedge. This feature allows for even faster adjustments to binding position than with the normal  Xcelerator key. This new binding also features a more rigid material optimized for classic skiing.

The Xcelerator Pro Classic also of course features the time tested classic specific rubber bumper and a new white paint job. This new binding weighs in at a fairly light weight 205 grams.

Are you interested in a classic specific binding for the coming season? Let me know in the comments down below! Hopefully I will be able post a full review of this new binding when the snow starts to fall later this year!

Looking forward to trying these although i’m not really feeling the “paradigm shift” part.

Why? Well, the Rottefella SSR (Super Skate Race – surely to be ditched for the Pro Skate as they are identical) was last years “new thing” and while they are a departure from the “norm” as they raise the front of the foot in a way only a spacer could before, the classic version we have here are as far as i can tell flat (or only slightly raised toe, if at all) so the only real change is either purley looks or the key-less fitting/movement of the binding. On the other hand it does give Rottefella and sellers to charge a premium and sell you the dream of even faster skiing for more money. 😉
