Fischer SpeedMax 2016 Skis, Boots And Poles Unveiled

Fischer SpeedMax 2016 Skis, Boots And Poles Unveiled

Earlier today Austrian ski brand, Fischer announced their SpeedMax 2016 line of skis, boots, and poles. This marks the first year that they will offer boots and poles in the SpeedMax product family. The SpeedMax 2016 skate boots seem to be an evolution of the RCS Carbon Skate Boots¬†which we have seen all season long, just with a redesigned carbon cuff. The New SpeedMax poles are, from the information we have now, very similar to this years CarbonLite poles featuring the multi tip system. The SpeedMax Classic and Skate skis for 2016 seem fairly similar from last years model, but they do seem to have a new topcoat structure and graphics package. Fischer has also outlined its new ski pairing technology, the precision pairing system. It is similar to Madshus’s EmPower¬†program minus the RFID technology. Hopefully we will have more information soon! I have included all of the information provided by Fischer below. There is also an introductory video on Fischer’s ISPO 2015 page.

Are you going to be picking up the 2016 SpeedMax skis, poles, or boots? Either way let me know in the comments down below.

  • Robert

    Hallo!

    Some questions for you.

Do you know if it’s going to be possible to buy the Speedmax bots in limited Numbers this year?

    If so, where?

Is the Speedmax boot as stiff as the Salomon carbon boot? (Sideway stiffnes)

    • Hey Robert! Im not sure if the SpeedMax Skate Boots will be Available this season, my gut reaction though would be probably not. As far as the stiffness of the boot in comparison to the Salomon Carbon Lab boot, I would say its too soon to Say, I haven’t been able to even try on the SpeedMax boot, but I will say that the new carbon cuff looks very substantial on the SpeedMax, but then agin the Salomons’ are properly stiff.
