New Madshus Skate / Classic Boots Confirmed for 16/17 (Photos)

Norwegian ski brand Madshus has been testing a new version of both their skate and classic race boots. I wrote about some of the early sightings of these boot here. In a recent post on the companies Instagram account a user asked what these boots pictured were, and the madshus account replied that “these boots will be in the shops next winter”. Confirming these new boots as the 16/17 update to the Super Nano and Nano Carbon Lines. Now we do not know wether the comment confirms this for the classic boots as well because the picture from the official account only portrays the skate model. But if indeed the classic boot also launches for the 16/17 season than it would be the very first classic boot to hit the market with Rottefella’s ultra light SSR sole (or the equivalent classic version). Thanks to Adam Glueck (@real_nordic_skier) for bringing this to my attention! Also included below are some more images of the boots!

I have to laugh as I’m “Gingerdamous” on instagram. I love that they have a new model of Supernanos, BUT these new ones are ugly AF compared to the black ones that I have.
That said, it’s not all about looks. My supers are phenomenal, but they aren’t warm at all. I constantly wear overboots where I ski.
